Monkey Bread



Cinnamon Sugar:

  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar


  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, optional
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar


Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, stir together all dough ingredients until dough forms. On a lightly floured surface, knead dough 15 to 30 seconds (or approximately 10 times). Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness. In a small bowl, combine cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle over the dough. Use a knife to cut dough into 1-inch cubes. Evenly place dough cubes in the bottom of the greased bundt pan. Set aside. Prepare glaze in a medium saucepan, combining all glaze ingredients. Simmer on medium heat until butter melts and sugar dissolves. Pour glaze over dough. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.Allow to cool for 10 minutes. Place a plate over the pan and flip upside to remove bread and serve. Makes 12 to 16 servings.
