INGREDIENTS: Cake flour (bleached wheat flour, niacin, iron [reduced iron], thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), sugar, soybean flour, dextrose, buttermilk powder, baking soda, corn starch, leavening agent (sodium acid pyrophosphate), non-iodized salt, leavening agent (monocalcium phosphate monohydrate), eggs (whole eggs. less than 2% sodium silicoaluminate as an anticaking agent), soybean oil.
CONTAINS: Egg, milk, soy, wheat.

Pancakes
Makes approx. 9, 4-inch pancakes
1. Remove oxygen absorber and discard.
2. Preheat oiled skillet to 375°F.
3. Add 1 cup pancake mix to 3/4 cup cold water. Batter will be slightly lumpy, do not overmix.
4. Adjust water to reach desired consistency.
5. Cook pancakes 1 to 1 1/2 minutes per side or until golden brown.

Waffles
Makes approx. 6, 7-inch waffles
1. Remove oxygen absorber and discard.
2. Preheat oiled waffle iron.
3. Add 2 1/4 cups pancake mix with 2 cups cold water.
4. Mix in 2 tablespoons vegetable oil.
5. Batter will be slightly lumpy, do not overmix.
6. Adjust water for desired consistency.
7. Cook waffles until steam stops.

Recipes Using Buttermilk Pancake Mix

Augason Farms Buttermilk Pancake Mix is the Swiss Army Knife of meal prep!

Crepes

  • 1 cup Augason Farms Buttermilk Pancake Mix
  • 1 cup Augason Farms Morning Moo's® Lowfat Milk Alternative
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

In large bowl, whisk together all ingredients until smooth. Heat a 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Lightly coat with oil. Scoop 3 tablespoons of batter into pan. Swirl pan to spread batter as thin as possible making a circle about 6 inches wide. Cook 1 to 2 minutes per side. Enjoy as is or serve wrapped with sweet or savory fillings. Makes 10 crepes.

Buttermilk Bread

  • 3 cups Augason Farms Buttermilk Pancake Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine pancake mix, water and oil in medium bowl, mix well. Shape dough into a loaf. Place in greased bread pan and bake 25 to 30 minutes. Makes 1 loaf (16 to 18 servings).

Honey Butter

2 cups Augason Farms Honey Powder
1/2 cup water
1 cup Augason Farms Butter Powder
3 tablespoons water

In a medium saucepan, combine honey powder and 1/2 cup water together, mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil, remove from heat and set aside. In a mixing bowl, combine butter powder and 3 tablespoons of water. Add prepared butter mixture to prepared honey mixture. Stir together until thoroughly mixed.
