In a medium saucepan, heat 2-inches of vegetable oil to 350°F.
In a small bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. In a separate bowl, combine bread mix, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add egg mixture and butter, mixing until a soft dough forms. By the spoonful, scoop batter into heated oil, fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove from hot oil, drain on a paper towel.
