Instructions:

Preheat 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat. Insert wooden skewers into hot dogs. Use a paper towel to remove moisture from hot dogs. In a medium bowl, combine pancake mix, cornmeal, egg and water. Roll hot dogs in batter until well coated.Lower into hot oil and fry until lightly browned, about 3 minutes. Place on paper towels to drain excess oil. Makes 8 corn dog
