- Preheat oven to 350°F.
Whisk together flour, baking soda and salt, set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Add eggs and beat until creamy. Stir in vanilla.
Gradually blend in dry ingredients, followed by freeze dried strawberries, chocolate chips and nuts (if desired).
Drop tablespoonfuls (1-inch balls) of dough onto prepared parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake for about 10 to 11 minutes, or until cookies begin to brown and are set. For crisper cookies, bake an extra minute or two.
