- Vegetable oil
- 6 cups Augason Farms Honey White Bread, Roll & Scone Mix
- 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
- 2 1/4 cups warm water
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- honey butter (see recipe)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, optional
Preheat 2-inches of oil to 375 ° F. Combine bread mix, yeast, water, and oil. Knead until smooth and elastic, or mix 10 to 12 minutes using dough hook on medium speed. Cover dough with towel and let rest 20 minutes. Roll out dough, cut into squares. Fry until golden brown. Serve with powdered sugar (optional). Makes 24 scones.
