Preheat the oven to 475°F.
Place pork roast in a baking dish and cover with onions.
Season meat with salt and pepper.
In a medium bowl, combine barbecue sauce, coffee granules, and brown sugar.
Pour sauce over pork roast.
Cover with tin foil, bake for 2 1/2 hours.
Meat should be tender enough to pull apart with a fork.
Shred pork and combine with cooking liquid.
Serve on sweet dinner rolls. Optional: top with your favorite cheese or coleslaw.
